About

I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I bring more than 15 years of experience working with individuals, youth, and families facing challenging and complex circumstances. My specialty is working with teenage girls and young women, particularly those navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, difficult relationships, substance use, emotional challenges, and life transitions. I have spent much of my career working with teenage females and young adults and understand the unique challenges that can come with adolescence and young adulthood.Since 2014, I have worked as a Behavioral Health Therapist with CYFD, providing individual and group therapy to youth and young adults in juvenile justice settings. My work has included trauma, substance use, anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, attachment concerns, developmental disabilities, crisis intervention, and suicidal ideation. I also facilitate therapeutic groups focused on self-esteem, coping skills, mindfulness, substance use, and life skills.Previously, I worked with Hogares, Inc. as an In-Home Services Worker, supporting families involved with CYFD through counseling, parenting education, crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, and connection to community resources. Before that, I served as a Treatment Coordinator, supporting treatment foster families, developing treatment plans, coordinating services, and facilitating treatment team meetings. My clinical skills include individual and group therapy, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, mindfulness, substance use treatment, safety planning, emotional regulation, treatment planning, family support, and multidisciplinary collaboration. I am also EMDR trained and continue to expand my clinical knowledge and skills. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy is a partnership—not about telling someone how to live, but about helping them better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and create meaningful change. My goal is to meet each person where they are and walk alongside them as they work toward healing, resilience, confidence, and greater well-being.
